WHAT IS DETOXIFICATION
Detoxification is the removal of toxic substances from the body. Our bodies are designed to remove toxic substances naturally through our channels of elimination. These channels include the colon, kidneys, skin, lymphatic system, lungs, and the liver. When these systems are working effectively, the result is good health. When they are compromised complications result. The air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat contains toxic chemicals. The body’s systems and organs get completely overloaded and can’t push the poisons out fast enough. These toxins remain in our tissues. When this waste builds up in our bodies we get sick.

METHODS OF DETOXIFICATION
Diet. Eliminate junk food, processed food, white flour products, caffeine, alcohol, sugars, and artificial sweeteners. Eat as much as you want fruits and vegetables. Use fresh organic produce when possible. Avoid meats containing hormones and antibiotics. Hydrate. Water helps flush toxins from the body and is essential for all of our bodily functions. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of purified, distilled, filtered, or bottled water a day. Sweat. The skin is our largest organ. Sit in a sauna or steam room to induce sweating which will stimulate a deep cleansing process. The heat releases both chemical and heavy metal toxins under the skin.
Exercise. Move your body! The benefits of exercise are increased blood and lymph circulation. Breathe deeply 15 minutes a day. Toxins are expelled through the lungs. Cleanse and protect the Liver by taking herbs such as dandelion root, burdock and milk thistle, and drinking green tea.
Detox your mind and spirit. Reduce stress. Try yoga, deep breathing meditation, stretching, reading – just do what you really enjoy that allows you to rela
